Authorization for a study to evaluate alternative criteria for the Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) program. If successful, this would eliminate the Notice to Quit requirement and help families and households access emergency rental assistance. 

$250,000 for the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind to hire social workers, rehabilitation teachers, and orientation and mobility instructors. 

$100,000 to the Worcester Community Midwifery, Inc. to provide midwifery care and birth center services to families across the Commonwealth. 

$100,000 for Pernet Family Health Services to fund its fourth trimester screening program, including a universal baby visiting program. 

$50,000 for the Main South Community Development Corporation (CDC) to run programming in the Main South and Beacon Brightly neighborhoods. 

$30,000 for senior medical rides and veteran outreach provided by Deja New, the Leicester Council on Aging, and Project New Hope.

$15,000 for youth swimming lessons as part of a summer program for low-income children to be offered by the YWCA of Central Massachusetts.

$50,000 for the Main South Community Development Corporation (CDC) to run programming in Worcester’s Main South and Beacon Brightly neighborhoods.

$50,000 to the Main South Community Development Corporation to promote safety and security in the University Park and Beacon Brightly Neighborhoods in Worcester. 

$15,000 for youth swimming lessons as part of a summer program for low-income children to be offered by the YWCA of Central Massachusetts.

$25,000 for senior medical rides and veteran outreach provided by Deja New, the Leicester Council on Aging, and Project New Hope.

$300,000 to be shared equally between the Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance, Inc., and Lynn Housing Authority, Inc., to inform clients about emergency rental assistance and related programs. Services are provided under the Department of Housing and Community Development’s 2019 novel coronavirus eviction diversion initiative.

$20,000 to fund renovations for the historic Stearns Tavern at Coes Park. Renovations will create a community-based day and work program for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. 

$100,000 to fund a water and sewer economic infrastructure feasibility study and master plan in Leicester.
